Hi, I’m Casey.
I’m a Midwest girl and passionate dog owner who finds happiness in being on the move.
My love for travel began when I studied abroad in London over 10 years ago. As my eyes were opened to the world, I documented my daily experiences on a blog. I believe I called it Across the Pond. Since then, I’ve continued to feel the desire to keep a journal of my stories and why not share them with the world?
I’ve spent the past few years establishing a career and dreaming of traveling the world. For the most part, I’ve always worked a full-time job but I’ve made the pursuit of new experiences a priority in my life and I strive each day to keep the balance between adulting and exploring.
So I want to say, “Welcome.” Whether you’re looking for local recommendations or planning your own international adventure, I hope you find something here helpful, inspirational or at the very least interesting.
Thanks for stopping by.

I’m in the same bubble as you are – “establish a career all the while dreaming of traveling the world.”.
Cheers to taking off items off the travel bucket list!
Hey, great blog! Quick question, how do you manage being a dog owner and a travel addict? I am one myself but I’m dreaming of having a dog as well..
Thank you for your answer
Best from Paris!
Bonjour! I’m lucky to come from a family of dog owners/lovers and someone is always willing to watch her when I travel abroad (on average one to two trips a year). Audi is very well behaved so I don’t feel like I’m imposing too much, I just miss her an awful lot! I also took her along on every possible roadtrip, starting when she was 5 months old, so she is an excellent travel companion. I’m constantly on the lookout for dog-friendly attractions so I can combine my desire to travel with my obsession over my dog :)
Thanks for the comment and best of luck with your decision!
Hey I’m headed to lake Marie this week any must stop and see there?
