Hi, I’m Casey.

I’m a Midwest girl and passionate dog owner who finds happiness in being on the move.

My love for travel began when I studied abroad in London over 10 years ago. As my eyes were opened to the world, I documented my daily experiences on a blog. I believe I called it Across the Pond. Since then, I’ve continued to feel the desire to write down my stories and share them with the world.

I’ve spent the past few years establishing a career and dreaming of traveling the world. I’ve made the pursuit of new experiences a priority in my life and I strive each day to keep the balance between adulting and exploring.

So I want to say, “Welcome.” Whether you’re looking for local recommendations or planning your own international adventure, I hope you find something here helpful, inspirational or at the very least interesting.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I’m in the same bubble as you are – “establish a career all the while dreaming of traveling the world.”.

Cheers to taking off items off the travel bucket list!

  2. Hey, great blog! Quick question, how do you manage being a dog owner and a travel addict? I am one myself but I’m dreaming of having a dog as well..
    Thank you for your answer
    Best from Paris!

    1. Bonjour! I’m lucky to come from a family of dog owners/lovers and someone is always willing to watch her when I travel abroad (on average one to two trips a year). Audi is very well behaved so I don’t feel like I’m imposing too much, I just miss her an awful lot! I also took her along on every possible roadtrip, starting when she was 5 months old, so she is an excellent travel companion. I’m constantly on the lookout for dog-friendly attractions so I can combine my desire to travel with my obsession over my dog :)
Thanks for the comment and best of luck with your decision!
