Week 2 of working remote from Bay St Louis, Mississippi. The weather has gotten really nice (other than the tornado that passed through New Orleans) and this week I did the things I would do back in Minnesota by visiting a local yoga studio and thrifting at Goodwill and flea markets.
Up in Minnesota, we live in a townhome so we were a little too excited when the lawn needed to be mowed and in the process I experienced by first fire ant bite. It’s just as terrible as it sounds.
We’ve continued to eat and drink our way through town. Lots of BBQ, tacos, oysters and we discovered artisan popsicles from Pop Brothers with more flavors than we’re ever going to be able to try.

This weekend we took a day trip to Gulfport and Biloxi. The drive is incredibly scenic and hugs the gulf with white sandy beach for as far as the eye can see.

Gulfport is the second largest town in Mississippi and Biloxi looks like a mini-Las Vegas with lots of casinos. We had the dog with us so we didn’t go into any but we did go back without her the next day for dinner at Half Shell Oyster House.

We’re halfway through our time here and already asking ourselves, “Why don’t we live somewhere warm all the time!?”
Excellent question? Or live in Michigan.
What a lovely little place. It looks so sunny and warm – unlike the freezing winds and temperatures below zero that we’ve woken up to a few days ago :) Thanks for sharing and have a good day :) Aiva xx
