As some of you may know, I’ve been working remote since March 2020 and in 2021 I seized the opportunity to spend four months in South Carolina. My boyfriend and I packed up the car with the dog and cat and Airbnb’d it until summer returned to Minnesota. We traveled so much in 2021 that we weren’t sure if we would try another extended stay in 2022. And then Minnesota winter hit and I was ready to be warm again.
I fell so in love with Beaufort last year that we wanted to try another small, off-the-beaten path town with a lot of character and history. And sunshine! After some extensive Airbnb searching we found the perfect house in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. A stone’s throw from the gulf and an easy drive to New Orleans.
We’ll test it out for about a month while we figure out the rest of our plans for the year and I could not be more excited! Vacations are nice but there’s nothing better than living and immersing yourself in a new place. Bring on the oysters. Bring on the Southern pace. Bring on the still-having-a-9-to-5-and-steady-income-but-travelling-all-the-time.
I hope you all are doing well. I know there is a lot going on in the world and I don’t want to ignore the fact that there are lots of people suffering right now. I try to spread positivity through my little blog and I hope hearing about adventures brings you some joy like it does me!
Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to share my Mississippi adventures with you all. xoxo
