Savannah, the oldest city in Georgia, is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and just across the Savannah River from South Carolina. My boyfriend Glenn and I have been staying in Beaufort, SC and decided to drive 45 minutes down to Savannah for the day. This was my first time in Savannah and I had no idea what to expect. We spent the day walking around the Riverfront and Historic District. There was so much history to take in from the first settlers to the Revolutionary War from the Civil War to Forrest Gump. We don’t get American history like that up in Minnesota.
Here are some of my favorite photos from our day in Savannah.

Great post and so many wonderful photos, Casey! I am in love with Savannah, I had no idea there’s so much to do and see. I would love to visit and marvel at Forsyth Park and its iconic fountain. Thanks for sharing and have a good day. Aiva :) xxx
I have to agree – it is a great city to explore. Hopefully we’ll get there again.
Great pictures. Beautiful church. Looks like it was a nice day.
