A HUGE THANK YOU to Sarah the Half RD Half Human for giving me this commendation. She writes an awesome blog about nutrition, healthy recipes, running and her adventures around the Chicago food scene (most of which I get to participate in because she just so happens to be my bestie and roommate).
Here’s how it works:
- Thank and link back to the blogger(s) that nominated you
- List the rules
- Share seven facts about yourself
- Nominate 15 other inspiring blogs
- Optional: Display the award logo on your blog and follow the blogger who nominated you
Let’s get started!
Seven Facts About Me:
Fact 1. I’ll start with my go-to “did you know?” fact: I was born on Leap Year.
That’s right, February 29th. I have only seen 6 birthdays in my lifetime. Here’s another fact for you, the odds of being born on a leap day are 1 in 1,461.
Fact 2. I never had the chicken pox.
Fact 3. My dog is laying on my feet right now.
Fact 4. I have an extensive cheerleading resume.
I was on two State Championship teams in high school. I briefly taught cheerleading camps as a staffer for Champion Cheerlading. I was a Michigan State Cheerleader for all 4 years of my undergrad where I was a Captain my senior year. I have a post about my travels as a college cheerleader if you’re interested in hearing about all of the jet-setting we did.
Fact 5. The only true all-nighter I pulled in college was to finish the final Harry Potter book.
Fact 6. The books I’m currently reading are:
Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison by Piper Kerman
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling
Fact 7. I eat frozen mango straight out of the bag.
Bloggers I ♥
Marking Our Territory: Dogs. Chicago. Adventures. Will is basically the male version of who I want to be.
Need Another Holiday: Realistically, not everyone can travel 100% of the time. We have to have jobs, right? Well, Clare will show you how to live a life of part-time travel with a full-time job.
Photo Nature Blog: Gorgeous photos of Pure Michigan that make me feel like I’m back at home.
See Julia Go: I just love Julia. I live vicariously through her travel stories. She also gives great tips and travel hacks.
Where’s my backpack? Not only can you read about epic adventures, this blog encourages reader/blogger interaction with weekly Travel Themes. I haven’t done one in a while but I can’t wait to jump back in to it.
roam&home: This blog has been a HUGE inspiration to me. The design is flawless and the travel tips and guides are some of the best I’ve come across!
Well, that should do it. Thanks again to Sarah for the commendation. You’re an inspiration to me as well! Keep up the great work!
